Maguindanao Pearls

The theme of the Maguindanao Pearls for me is love.  Lakambini lied because of love. Even someone can be harm because of her love for Magiting. She lied for the sake that Magiting will not be marrying Sinag-tala. We know that's wrong, but they say that if you love someone you will do or give up everything just to be with him/her. And also, if you love someone you will do the things that you've never done in your life. But in the end, Lakambini tell the truth and apologize to Sinag-tala.

The Greatest thing is Sacrifice

What is sacrifice? Sacrifice for me is losing something precious to us for our loved ones. I have read this story called "The Sacrifice". It is about a boy named Crispin sacrificed his carabao, Silver for his loved ones, his parents. Well, I can relate to this story because I did a sacrifice too.

Before exams, my older brother had a dengue. Then my mother have to go to the hospital and sleep with my brother. So I became so sad because I really need my mother that time. Every morning, I have to prepare food by myself because my oldest brother and father is still sleeping. And when I get home from school, my mother will cook for dinner and go to the hospital again. That night I cried and think of our situation, then I realized that I'm not the one who needed my mother the most but my brother.

Doing a sacrifice is hard but doing a sacrifice is a way of helping your loved ones. And this is the greatest thing you can do for your loved ones.

Why do we judge other people?

We judge other people maybe because we don't want them to be successful. Or we critisize them because they achieved something that we want to achieve. And we are finding fault from them that its not in them. In that case we derogatory others. I experienced being critisize and critisizing other peolple. But after that experience, I realize that nobody is perfect and I can learn from my imperfections. What is imperfection? Imperfection is the opposite of perfection, it is the defieciency or fault of a person. We can learn from our imperfection and apply it to our daily lives.

Back in grade 6, one of my friend and I had a fight. She's the one who's mad at me not me. Then two of my friends helped me but they went with her. I feel so alone. When we we're in ACT, I apologized to her two times but she didn't accept it. I became so sad and despondent . Everytime I pass near her I would see her disfigured face and she's like rolling eyes at me. Then after a week, I found out that she wants me to be her friend again. I felt so happy! Few days later, after our play, she hugged me and said sorry to me. After two weeks, I found out that she's back stabbing me. Urgh! I thouhgt we're friends. Instead of back stabbing her I just ignore her until now. I thought she's different from the others but I'm wrong. Maybe, she's not the right friend for me.
